Chris Willey: Warrensburg, MO, United States; Chris (Christina) Willey has been a Professor of Art at the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, Missouri, since 1989. She has a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, NE; and an MFA in Illustration from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY. Before coming to UCM, she worked for 13 years as an illustrator, painter, and graphic designer where she won awards from the Kansas City Art Directors Club (3 Merit, 1 Bronze Award), Communication Arts Illustration Annual 1987 (Merit Award), and the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles (5 Merit Awards). Chris has acquired signature status in the MidAmerica Pastel Society. Her work has been shown in over 55 juried exhibitions, 16 invitational shows and 12 solo shows. She is the recipient of over 20 awards, including Best of Show and Gold, and her art is held in a number of private and corporate in the U.S., Netherlands, and France.
